WordPress PURL – Personalized URL
UPDATE: Now its even easier to integreate Purlem with WordPress with the new Purlem Personal URL WordPress Plugin!
Finally! You can now tie Purlem’s Personal URL application into WordPress themes. After several requests for this feature, I slightly tweaked Purlem and added a tutorial on how to Tie in Purlem with WordPress.
The biggest benefit of doing this is that you can select from the thousand of wordpress designs to use as your Personalized URL Landing page!
I hope to create a wordpress plugin… but for now this should do the trick for those that don’t want to wait.

How long should we expect to wait for the wordpress plugin?
Cheers
March 15th, 2010 at 8:49 amHi Rick… If I had a client that needed this I think its something that could be created in a couple weeks. Right now its not on the top of my list as I don’t have any paying clients that could use this. Is a plugin something that would be required by you?
March 15th, 2010 at 8:54 amThanks for the quick reply Martin. A plugin would be very useful, we are looking to create a lot of wordpress pages with unique titles but are finding alternatives such as the mass page creator difficult to use.
March 15th, 2010 at 9:38 amI’m not sure that a Personalized URL solution would be right for you then? Are you customizing each page to the person visiting?
March 15th, 2010 at 11:24 amThe only custom change on each page would be the title so in WordPress this would become the h1 tag as well as the /page-name.
March 16th, 2010 at 2:48 amSounds good.. I’ll let you know when I have a plugin working…
March 16th, 2010 at 9:16 amThanks Martin!
March 16th, 2010 at 9:29 amHi Martin
If we were to become a client of yours, would you still be able to complete it in 2 weeks? How much would you charge for this work?
Thanks
March 24th, 2010 at 5:54 amHey Chris.. Ya, let me take a closer look and I’ll let you know a timeframe and budget. Thanks
March 25th, 2010 at 7:33 amHave you had chance to look at this Martin?

April 6th, 2010 at 2:42 amHi Rick. Ya, I did take a look at this. Good news is that it is possible and will be something that I add in the near future because of the interests that has been shown. Bad news is I have been swamped lately with working on other campaigns and this had to be pushed aside. I would say that within the month I will be releasing a wordpress plugin for Purlem. In the mean time I would encourage anybody looking to tie in the wordpress blog with Purlem to visit: http://www.purlem.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=41
April 6th, 2010 at 4:37 pmWordpress is the best blogging platform ever. It is much better than Typepad and blogspot.*.;
May 1st, 2010 at 3:51 amHi Martin
Do you have a new timescale for the Purlem wordpress plugin? We are very keen to use it!!
Thanks
Rick
May 12th, 2010 at 9:12 amHey Rick.. Yes, It is getting to the top of my list. I can’t guarantee anything because I haven’t dove into the details of making it happen. But I will at least have a better tutorial on how to integrate Purlem with wordpress. You can expect something within the next couple weeks.
